Born in Hartford, CT to a 14-year-old mother, Shirell was raised with love, encouragement, and the belief that she could achieve great things. She went on to become the first in her family to attend college and earn a graduate degree.
After earning her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University, she began her career as a Prosecutor in the Bronx, where she discovered a passion for advocating on behalf of others. She later transitioned into Corporate America, holding senior legal positions and ultimately rising to the Vice President level at a multinational pharmaceutical and life sciences company. Along the way, she built a reputation as a dynamic leader, known for her sharp instincts, strategic thinking, and ability to mentor and develop other leaders.
